Consider Supporting the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation’s Toy Drive

Guardian Ad Litem Foundation

We are proud to announce a partnership with the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay. This holiday season they are collecting toys for children who are represented by a guardian ad litem. Each guardian ad litem has the opportunity to choose a few gifts to give to the child they are representing.

The Guardian Ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay works to provide a voice for children in court. The volunteers keep the children’s best interests in mind when advocating for them. The foundation has a long-term goal to provide every child with a voice in court by 2020.

The foundation is accepting donations of toys and gift cards to ensure the holiday season is bright for the boys and girls of the second judicial circuit. They are calling on everyone from businesses to individuals to help support these children and work to ensure that their holiday season is cheerful.

Emerson Straw is proud to be a supporter. It is important for children to feel normal regardless of their circumstances. The Guardian Ad Litem Foundation’s gift drive is one of many ways to support children in their time of need and throughout the holiday season.

The Holiday Toy Workshop is an opportunity for Guardians ad Litem to “shop” for children who have recently come into care and will not be able to receive toys from other agencies due to their “late shelter” status.

The Holiday Toy Workshop will be held Thursday, December 13th from 9am – 3 pm, so all gifts need to be delivered by Wednesday, December 12th to Emerson Straw.
