Emerson Straw PL Secures Seven‑Figure Settlement in Pasco County, Florida

This wrongful death lawsuit was brought by surviving spouse due to, negligent cardiac care by Pasco County Hospital and Pasco County Cardiac Clinic, and multiple cardiac providers. Decedent presented to the hospital with new-onset chest pain and abnormal cardiac testing suggestive of a prior heart attack yet was prematurely discharged without appropriate interpretation of cardiac studies or initiation of urgent treatment for acute coronary syndrome. He later followed up with the cardiac clinic, where defendants delayed intervention, failed to timely diagnose his condition, and conducted a high-risk cardiac stress test without proper staffing or emergency response procedures. During the test, Decedent collapsed, and there was more than a two-hour delay before emergency transport was initiated. Decedent suffered cardiac arrest en route and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
