$4.65 Million Cancer Late Diagnosis Case

$4.65 MILLION VERDICT – MEDICAL MALPRACTICE – CANCER LATE DIAGNOSIS

Emerson Straw PL represented a client who suffered a late diagnosis of cancer due to physician negligence. A $4.65 million verdict was awarded to Plaintiff Matthew Hines against Defendant Access Healthcare Physicians LLC.

Over an eight-month period, the 75-year-old Hines had complined multiple times about a lump on his neck. The Defendants asserted the lump was caused by allergies and did not order imaging. Once a correct diagnosis had been made, the cancer had spread to several lymph nodes and was Stage 4 neck cancer.

The Defendant was awarded $4.4 million for past and future pain and suffering, as well as $250,000 for past and future medical expenses.
